Licence Terms
These Licence Terms apply to any paid or trial access to Unveiling Black History content.
Last updated: 9 July 2026
1. Scope of licence
Licences are granted to named users, departments, schools or organisations according to the purchased plan. The plan purchased determines who may access the Platform, how many users are permitted, and how the content may be used.
See School licences for a summary of available plans.
2. Permitted use
Resources may be used for internal teaching and learning purposes during an active licence period. Permitted activities include:
- preparing and delivering lessons to pupils enrolled at the licensed organisation;
- displaying content in classrooms and shared learning environments within that organisation;
- printing or downloading worksheets and lesson packs for classroom use, in the quantities the licence permits.
3. Restrictions
Redistribution, resale, public uploading or sharing outside the licensed organisation is not permitted. In particular you must not:
- share account credentials with anyone outside the named licence;
- upload materials to public websites, social media, file-sharing services or generative-AI training corpora;
- sell, sub-license or transfer the licence without our written consent;
- modify, translate or create derivative works for onward distribution.
4. Plan-specific rules
Individual Teacher Licence
For one named teacher, tutor, parent or home educator. May be used for personal lesson preparation and delivery by that teacher. Must not be used to provide access to a whole department, school or multi-site organisation. Departments, schools and trusts requiring wider access should purchase the appropriate Department, Whole School or Trust / Multi-School Licence.
Department Licence
For up to five named teachers within a single department. May be used for internal lesson preparation and delivery within that department only.
Whole School Licence
Provides annual access for staff and students at one named school site. Includes classroom use, internal lesson delivery, downloadable resources, quizzes and school-level administration.
Trust / Multi-School Licence
Extends the Whole School Licence across multiple named schools operated by the same trust or local authority, with administrative oversight at trust level.
5. Term and renewal
Licences are annual and renew on the anniversary of the start date unless cancelled or otherwise agreed. Purchase orders and invoicing arrangements are described in School Procurement Information.
6. Termination
We may suspend or terminate a licence for material breach, including sharing content outside the licensed organisation. On termination, access to paid content ends and downloaded materials must no longer be used or distributed.
7. Warranty and liability
Content is provided on an “as is” basis. Educational content should be reviewed by qualified educators and subject specialists before formal classroom adoption. Our liability is limited as set out in our Terms of Use.
8. Contact
Licensing questions should be directed to Karl Newton at newtonwebdesign.co.uk@gmail.com.
